Ohio's State Tourism Slogans

In 1984, the Ohio Division of Travel and Tourism created the slogan, "Ohio, The Heart of It All" to promote tourism. The office adopted this slogan for many reasons. One reason why was because Ohio roughly resembles a heart in shape. Also, Ohio is a very populous state with many activities of all sorts for residents and visitors. People can visit zoos, museums, or art galleries, attend college or professional sporting events, or participate in the state's many outdoor activities. This slogan appeared on all official publications of the Ohio Division of Travel and Tourism. The state also placed it upon signs welcoming people to Ohio, as well as upon license plates. In the early 2000s, the Ohio Division of Travel and Tourism created a new slogan, "Ohio, So Much to Discover,"to replace "Ohio, The Heart of It All." Both slogans promote Ohio's diversity in people and activities.
