Novelist Zane Grey (1872-1936) was born in Zanesville, Ohio. During his life, he wrote 89 books, including 56 Western novels. The avid sportsman's "larger than life" personality and adventure-filled books influenced early 20th century popular culture. There were 115 movies made from Zane Grey novels, the first in 1915 and the most recent, a remake of Riders of the Purple Sage, in 1996. This image measures 8" by 10" (20.32 by 25.40 cm). | ||
