Brian Warner is the birth name of musician and entertainer Marilyn Manson.
Marilyn Manson was born on January 5, 1969. His birth name was Brian Warner, and he grew up in Canton, Ohio. At the age of eighteen, Manson began spending most of his time in music and creative writing. He moved to Florida where he formed a band called Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids. He then changed his name to Marilyn Manson. He took his new first name from actress Marilyn Monroe and his last name from serial killer Charles Manson. Manson claimed that he did this to show "what show business is, fake."
Manson is well known for his controversial lyrics, make-up and outfits. At concerts, protestors commonly appear. Manson has succeeded in creating a large popular following, especially among younger people. He has written songs for such movies as The Matrix Reloaded, Bowling for Columbine, From Hell, and Resident Evil.
