Cincinnati State Technical and Community College

In 1969, the Ohio Board of Regents authorized the creation of Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. The institution grew quickly. In 2002, approximately fourteen thousand students enrolled at the college, which offers certificates in over forty programs and Associate degrees in more than seventy-five programs. The Ohio Board of Regents recognized Cincinnati State Technical and Community College's various programs by awarding the institution "Program Excellence Awards" on numerous occasions. In 2002, approximately fifty-eight percent of the college's students were women. This same year, ninety-eight percent of the graduates had found employment in their career of choice within six years of graduation, and ninety-one percent of the students had successfully passed their licensing or registry exams in their respective careers.
