The Cleveland Lions is a semi-professional football team from Cleveland, Ohio. The squad currently plays in the Mid Continental Football League (MCFL).

The Lions formed in 1978 and originally played in the Northern Ohio Football League. In the sixteen seasons that the team belonged to this league, the Lions won eight championships. In 1994, the club joined the MCFL. The Lions advanced to the championship game in 1998, 2001, and 2002, finally emerging victorious as league champions in the team�s third attempt.
