Cleveland Tigers

In 1920, the American Professional Football Association formed. This organization became the National Football League in 1922. Among its original fourteen teams was the Cleveland Tigers, which Jimmie O�Donnell, a local sports promoter, formed in 1919. The Tigers originally played in the Ohio League. The team played its home games in Cleveland, Ohio. On August 20, 1920, the Cleveland Tigers joined the American Professional Football Association. During the 1920 season, the Tigers scored only two touchdowns and finished the year with a record of one win, four losses, and two ties. Following the 1920 season, the Tigers became the Cleveland Indians. This new team played in only the 1921 season before disbanding.
