In 1971, Habeeba established Habeeba's Dance of the Arts in Ohio. Habeeba's Dance of the Arts was the first belly-dancing school in Ohio and the Midwest. It remains the oldest, continuing-operating belly-dancing school in the United States. Dancers trained at Habeeba's Dance of the Arts have performed in many parts of the world. Many Ohio women attend classes, which take place at three studios, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, Cleveland, Ohio, and Columbus, Ohio. Habeeba has been inducted into the American Academy of Middle Eastern Dance Hall of Fame.
