{ James (Jim) Arthur Jackson was born on October 14, 1970, in Toledo, Ohio. He enrolled at The Ohio State University in 1989, where he was a member of the basketball team. In his three seasons with the Buckeyes, Jackson scored 1785 points.

In 1992, Jackson left Ohio State following his junior season. He entered the National Basketball association (NBA) draft, and the Dallas Mavericks drafted him as the fourth overall pick. In 1996, the Mavericks traded Jackson to the New Jersey Nets. Jackson also has been a member of the Golden State Warriors, the Portland Trailblazers, the Atlanta Hawks, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Miami Heat, the Sacramento Kings, the Houston Rockets, and the New Orleans Hornets. Jackson currently plays for the Phoenix Suns as a shooting guard. In his thirteen-year professional career, Jackson has amassed 12,569 points. [[Category:{$topic}]]
