In 1964, the Church of the Nazarene voted to create three new colleges.  One became Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas, one became the Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and the third came into being in Mount Vernon, Ohio. The Educational Zone
