Peccary Fossils

{ Bones of an extinct, pig-like peccary species, Platyogonus compressus, have been reported from several sites in Ohio, including nearly complete specimens. Excavations at Indian Trail Caverns in Wyandot County, produced remains of at least 39 individual peccaries. [[Category:{$topic}]]
