Sprigg, William

{ William Sprigg was an attorney in Adams County. Upon Ohio attaining statehood in 1803, the state legislature appointed Sprigg to the Ohio Supreme Court. He served as a justice on the Supreme Court from April 1803 to April 1806 and again from 1808 to 1810. Sprigg also served as a judge in the Indiana Territory as well as in Illinois. Sprigg Township in Adams County is named for him. [[Category:{$topic}]]
