In 1848, the first Roman Catholic Bishop of the Cleveland Diocese, Louis Amadeus Rappe, founded St. Mary Seminary in Cleveland, Ohio. The primary goal of St. Mary Seminary remains to educate young men to become priests in the Roman Catholic Church. Today, St. Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology is located in Wickliffe, Ohio, where it shares facilities with Borromeo College of Ohio.
