Stark State College of Technology

In 1960, Stark State College of Technology opened in North Canton, Ohio. The school grew quickly, becoming the largest of five colleges located in Stark County. In 1997, 4,500 students attended the college. In 2005, with over seven thousand students, Stark State College of Technology was the largest technical college in Ohio. An additional three thousand students took non-credit courses at the institution. This same year, the college offered forty-four Associate degree and eleven certificate programs.
